HM King, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, receives US Central Command Navy Commander and Fifth Fleet Commander on his appointment

Manama, Oct. 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received Vice Admiral Curt Renshaw, Commander of the United States Naval Forces Central Command and Fifth Fleet Commander, at Al Sakhir Palace on the occasion of his appointment.
His Majesty the King welcomed Vice Admiral Renshaw and congratulated him on assuming his new role. His Majesty wished him success in supporting Bahraini-American cooperation and advancing security and peace in the region.
HM the King commended the longstanding ties between the two countries as allies and partners, noting the continuous development of their cooperation, particularly in military and defence fields. HM the King emphasised that Bahraini-American relations are built on decades of trust, respect, and shared goals.
Furthermore, His Majesty commended the key role of the US administration in ensuring regional security and stability and promoting international peace. HM the King commended His Excellency Donald Trump, the US President, for his role in the success of the Sharm El Sheikh Summit for Peace, the efforts to end the Gaza war, and for advancing peace initiatives in the Middle East.
On his part, Vice Admiral Renshaw expressed gratitude for His Majesty’s efforts to enhance strategic relations and bilateral cooperation across all domains.
