Sadyr Zhaparov meets CA Security Council Secretaries

Bishkek, Oct. 16, 2025 /Kabar/. On October 16, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received the Secretaries of the Security Councils of Central Asian countries and the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India.

During the meeting, they discuss issues on ensuring regional security and countering current threats and challenges.

The head of state emphasized that, maintaining peaceful and friendly relations with all states is becoming a crucial factor in sustainable development in current tense international situation. Furthermore, in addition to terrorism and extremism, countries are increasingly threatened by transnational challenges such as illegal migration and cyber threats.

In this regard, I would like to especially emphasize: effectively countering transnational terrorism is only possible through joint efforts, said Sadyr Zhaparov. He also outlined a number of key areas for joint cooperation. This includes a focus on combating terrorism and extremism, countering transnational crime and drug trafficking, a coordinated response in the area of ​​cybersecurity, and awareness-raising and educational programs for youth and the general public.

In turn, the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Central Asian countries and the National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India expressed their readiness to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation. They also noted the relevance of a dialogue in the "Central Asia-India" format in the current context. The Security Council Secretaries also emphasized the need to develop a coordinated approach to addressing security issues.
