Kyrgyz Labor Ministry’s budget to amount 23.3 billion soms in 2026

Bishkek, Oct. 16, 2025 /Kabar/. The budget for the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2026 will amount to 23.3 billion soms, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev told at ceremony dedicated to the ministry's 100th anniversary, the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement in Kyrgyzstan, and the professional day of Social Fund employees.
Furthermore, the Cabinet Chairman emphasized that, at the initiative of the president, benefit amounts have been increased two, threefold over the past five years, and new social programs have been introduced. The network of social workers has been expanded, funding for resort treatment has been increased, and 77 vehicles have been donated to the ministry. As of October 1, 2025, 103,400 parents have received the "Balaga Suyunchu" benefit.
The contribution of the Social Fund was also recognized: over the past five years, the number of pensioners has increased by 100,000, and the average pension has almost doubled. For the first time, the minimum pension has been equalized to the subsistence minimum.
