Kyrgyz ambassador and deputy PM of Azerbaijan dicsuss bilateral co-op

Bishkek, Oct. 16, 2025. /Kabar/. On October 15, 2025, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Maksat Mamytkanov, met with Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the preparation and holding, later this year in Baku, of the next session of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation.
Ambassador Mamytkanov informed his counterpart about the positive economic indicators and achievements of the Kyrgyz Republic. In this context, the parties exchanged views on increasing mutual trade turnover and expanding investment cooperation.
Special emphasis was placed on prospects for joint implementation of green projects, including the development of hydropower and the introduction of environmentally sustainable solutions in agriculture.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to steadily advancing and deepening mutually beneficial bilateral economic cooperation.
