Investment flow increases, Manas city mayor says

Bishkek, Oct. 16, 2025 /Kabar/. Investment in the city of Manas has increased significantly, Mayor Ernisbek Ormokov reported Kabar.

According to him, both foreign and domestic investors are expressing interest in investing in various sectors.

We are receiving proposals from investors in France to build a cable car. There are also proposals from German companies. Negotiations are also underway with Chinese investors. They propose a project to install sewer and water supply networks worth $3-3.5 million. This is planned as part of the friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and China. We have also been invited to visit China to exchange experiences.

After the city was renamed to Manas city, the number of investors has increased significantly. Domestic investors are also showing interest in building housing and businesses, requesting land plots. I believe the increased symbolic value of the city's name is contributing to this. Significant changes were already taking place in the city before it was renamed Manas, and I am confident that this development will continue, the mayor noted.
