President of International Firefighters Sport Federation Commends Kingdom's Preparations to Host World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport

Riyadh, October 12, 2025, SPA -- President of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers CHUPRIIAN ALEKSANDR commended Saudi Arabia's preparations to host the World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport 2025, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from October 26 to November 1, with the participation of 22 countries from around the world.
   He stated that the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz for the championship's opening ceremony reflects the Kingdom's great attention and commitment to hosting this global firefighting and rescue sporting event.
   CHUPRIIAN also praised the Kingdom's efforts, noting that the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers is confident that Saudi Arabia will deliver an exceptional edition in the history of the championship.
   He added that meetings between the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers and the organizing committees in the Kingdom are ongoing to finalize all organizational, technical, and logistical preparations.
   Moreover, he noted that all federation committees are currently implementing their pre-event programs and plans in preparation for the championship's launch, which will feature 300 male and female competitors in four events: the 100-meter individual obstacle race, the 400-meter relay, the ladder climbing event, and the firefighting challenge.
   He pointed out that this year's Fire and Rescue Championship will feature elite civil defense and rescue teams from around the world competing in one of the most humanitarian professions dedicated to safeguarding human life.
   Additionally, he affirmed that the championship is a global event combining athletic, humanitarian, and cultural dimensions, showcasing the professional skills and training excellence of civil defense personnel worldwide.
