Art-Ordo-2025 international theater festival starts on October 20

Bishkek, Oct. 17, 2025 /Kabar/. The 10th anniversary Art-Ordo-2025 international theater festival will be held in Bishkek from October 20-25, First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov announced at a press conference at the Kabar. He explained that the festival is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and the 90th birthday of the great Kyrgyz writer and playwright Mar Baidzhiev.

Theatre artists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and more specifically from Karakalpakstan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan will participate in the festival and present their performances. The events will be held in four locations: the Toktobolot Abdumomunov Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater, the Chyngyz Aimatov Russian Drama Theater, the Baken Kydykeeva Kyrgyz Youth Theater, and the Sharshen Termechikov Chui Regional Drama and Satire Theater, he noted.

According to Nadyrbekov, there will be five jury members from the aforementioned countries, including Kyrgyzstan, who will judge the works in 17 categories. The total prize fund will be 2 million soms.
