OIC Welcomes Pakistan-Afghanistan Ceasefire Agreement

   Jeddah, October 20, 2025, SPA -- The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan announced on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Doha under the mediation of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Türkiye.
   The general secretariat congratulated both countries for reaching this agreement, expressing hope that it will restore understanding and harmony, foster mutual trust, advance cooperative and good-neighborly ties, and consolidate peace and stability in the whole region.
   It also commended the mediation efforts by Qatar and Türkiye in reaching this agreement.
