Bahraini parliamentary delegation participates in coordination meeting of PUIC in Geneva

Geneva, Oct. 19 (BNA): A delegation from Bahrain’s parliamentary group participated in a coordination meeting of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC), held as part of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Bahraini delegation included Jamal Mohamed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council; Abdulnabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives; Dr. Bassam Ismail Albinmohammed, Member of Shura Council; and MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan.

During the meeting, the delegation underlined the importance of a unified stance on common issues and expressed support for the Sharm El Sheikh peace agreement, aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and highlighting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Participants discussed urgent agenda items for the 151st IPU Assembly and addressed the impact of the Israeli attack on Gaza.
