Saudi Press Agency Connects to Maeen Network to Access Global Research Services

   Riyadh, October 28, 2025, SPA -- The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) finalized measures for connection to the Saudi Research & Innovation Network (Maeen), facilitating SPA employees' access to its suite of services. The connection facilitates research across digital libraries and global research and academic platforms while showcasing remarkable progress and achievements in the Kingdom’s education, innovation, and research sectors.
   Maeen, owned and operated by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), is a high-speed national network dedicated to serving scientific, research, and industrial purposes. It supports subscribers by enabling access to services offered by participating institutions, fostering an enabling environment for research and innovation across the Kingdom, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
   The network provides essential services to support research and facilitate connectivity with digital libraries and global academic and research platforms. It also enables access to more than 90,000 academic institutions and 42 education networks worldwide and 65 research networks across more than 100 countries.
   Maeen supports researchers in advancing innovation and knowledge in scientific and technical fields through a range of advanced technologies such as computing, cloud hosting, information security, technical consulting, and data storage services.
   The network features an advanced infrastructure that enables integration with a wide range of services and capabilities through its connection to global research networks, a research network authentication federation, and a Saudi supercomputing platform.
