Vietjet orders 100 Airbus A321neo aircraft, signs agreement with Roll Royce

Hanoi, October 31 (VNA) - Vietjet ordeored 100 A321neo aircraft from Airbus during General Secretary To Lam’s official visit to the United Kingdom from Oct. 28-30.

This is a historic occasion as the two nations elevated their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, opening a new chapter of deepened cooperation in aviation, technology, and investment.

According to Vietjet Chairwoman, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao this is not merely a commercial contract, but a symbol of trust, aspiration, and a shared vision for sustainable development and global connectivity.

The order is expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs in the UK and across Europe while enabling Vietjet to modernize its fleet, reduce emissions, and expand its international network toward the global Net Zero goal, she added.

On this occasion, Vietjet and Rolls-Royce signed an agreement for 92 Trent 7000 engines together with comprehensive maintenance services, valued at 3.8 billion USD.
