Kermanshah exports exceed $1.7 billion in seven months

Kermanshah, IRNA – Kermanshah Province, in western Iran, exported goods worth more than $1.78 billion in the first seven months of the current Iranian year, which started on March 21, according to the director general of Kermanshah Customs.
Reza Nikravesh told IRNA that a total of 4.17 million tons of goods valued at $1,788,699,000 were exported from Kermanshah during the mentioned period, marking a 2-percent rise in value and a 1-percent increase in volume compared with the same period last year.
Nikravesh said that Khosravi Customs took the lion share of the province’s exports, with goods worth $567,364,000 and weighing 1.25 million tons.
Parvizkhan Customs ranked second with $495,711,000 worth of exports weighing 1.16 million tons. Soomar Customs came third, with exports valued at $407,448,000 and weighing 997,476 tons, he added.
The official further noted that Sheikh Seleh Customs exported $270,019,000 worth of goods weighing 387,000 tons, while Shoushmi Customs had $24,457,000 in exports weighing 326,000 tons.
Nikravesh listed the province’s main export items as cast iron, iron and steel, plastic materials and products, fruits, vegetables and their products, plants, dairy products, items made of iron or steel, and goods made from stone, gypsum, and cement.
Kermanshah, a western Iranian province bordering Iraq, is one of the country’s key trade gateways, handling a significant share of Iran’s non-oil exports through its land border crossings.
