Foreign Minister meets Cypriot counterpart

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend the 21st IISS Manama Dialogue 2025.

The meeting reviewed the close relations between Bahrain and Cyprus, discussed bilateral cooperation at all levels, and means to further develop it to serve mutual interests and objectives. Views were also exchanged on recent regional developments, with both sides emphasising the importance of enhancing international efforts to achieve security, stability, and lasting comprehensive peace in the region.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Andreas Eliades, Ambassador of Cyprus to Bahrain; Ali Khalid Al Araifi, Head of Al Madar Centre; and Shaikha Al Anood bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Acting Head of the European Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
