Laos to install more than 100 surveillance cameras across Vientiane Capital
(KPL) The Lao government decided to install more than 100 surveillance cameras across Vientiane Capital in order to cope with criminal problem and accident on the road, in which things might happen during SEA Games.
Traffic Police Office of Vientiane Capital disclosed yesterday that it would cooperate with sectors concerned to increase the alert measures by installing the surveillance cameras in each important point across Vientiane Capital, after having problems occurred.
Violating the regulations of traffic on the road and including criminal problem have had the increasing trend continuously, some times police officials could not solve the happened problems as quickly as possible because police officials do not have modern equipment for helping them more smoothly, according to Traffic Light Police Office.
Initially it expected to install in many important points such as markets, traffic lights, victory gate, Thathluang stupa, crowded places and new stadium for SEA Games.
