Representatives Speaker, Shura Chairman receive Omani Shura Council Chairman

Manama, Nov. 11 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chair of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of the Shura Council of the Sultanate of Oman, and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival in the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the 19th periodic meeting of the leaders of Shura, Representatives, National and Ummah Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, hosted by Bahrain from November 11 to 13.    

Speaker Al Musallam and Chairman Al Saleh welcomed the Omani delegation and highlighted the longstanding ties between the Kingdom and Oman, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman.

On his part, Al Mawali commended Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing GCC cooperation and its efforts in hosting parliamentary meetings.
