Iran seeks to strengthen relations with Oman, says President Pezeshkian

Tehran, IRNA – President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised the strong ties between Iran and Oman, saying Tehran is confident that bilateral relations will continue to grow with “strength, stability, and foresight.”
During the ceremony for receiving the credentials of Sayyid Yaarub bin Qahtan bin Nasser Albusaidi, the new Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Iran, on Tuesday, Pezeshkian said, “The interactions, relations, and cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman are at the highest level. We emphasize the need to deepen, strengthen, and expand this cooperation more than ever.”
Referring to his recent trip to Muscat, the capital of Oman, the president said, “During the visit, very important and constructive agreements were reached between the two countries. We are committed to the implementation of these agreements and will continuously follow up on them. We hope you will also pursue this process with great diligence so that we can achieve tangible results and mutual benefits for both countries and their peoples.”
Pezeshkian noted that the presence of the new Omani ambassador could accelerate the strengthening of cooperation, emphasizing, “I hope your presence in Tehran will facilitate the further expansion and deepening of our relations.”
For his part, Albusaidi said, “The Sultan of Oman places great emphasis on maintaining strong relations with Iran and wishes for tranquility, stability, peace, and progress for this friendly, neighboring, and brotherly country.”
He added, “We recognize the significance, status, and role of the Islamic Republic of Iran and are focused on comprehensively strengthening our ties with Iran.”
