Saudi Épée Fencer Secures Bronze at Islamic Solidarity Games

   Riyadh, November 18, 2025, SPA -- Saudi national fencing team athlete Khalifa Al-Amiri secured the bronze medal in the Épée discipline at the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games (Riyadh 2025). He was defeated by gold medalist Meyirkhan Timurov of Uzbekistan with a score of 13-15.
   Al-Amiri reached the semi-finals after a strong performance, defeating Kuwait's Abdulrahman Al-Manea 15-5 in the Round of 32, Türkiye's Doruk Erolçevik 15-9, and overcoming Uzbekistan's Yerlik Sertay in the quarter-finals 15-14.
   In the women's competition, the Saudi national women's team lost to Azerbaijan 8-21 and to Côte d'Ivoire 10-16.
