Head of Bashkortostan receives SCIA President

Ufa, Nov. 18 (BNA):  His Excellency Radiy Khabirov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation, received Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), on the sidelines of Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed's participation in the 16th International Scientific and Practical Conference.

HE Khabirov commended Bahrain and its role in promoting Islamic solidarity and supporting the foundations of peace for all.  He also affirmed his commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries across various domains.

For his part, Shaikh Abdulrahman conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to HE Khabirov and His Majesty’s wishes for continued progress, growth, and prosperity for the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian Federation.

Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed congratulated HE Khabirov on the success of the 16th International Scientific and Practical Conference, hosted annually in Ufa by the Central Religious Administration of Muslims in Russia.  Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed emphasised the importance of collective efforts to serve the values of Islamic unity and strengthen the foundations of peace worldwide.

Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed presented HE Khabirov with a copy of the recited Qur’an, which includes three complete audiovisual recitations by three of Bahrain’s most prominent Qur’an reciters, as part of Bahrain’s comprehensive Qur’anic project.
