Autumn Tree Planting in DPRK

 Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- Autumn tree planting is brisk in different parts of the DPRK.
North Phyongan Province surveyed the state of securing saplings in cities and counties and is giving guidance over tree planting.
In particular, it pays attention to selecting the sites for tree planting and provides efficacious bioactivator to ensure the rooting rate. Many cities and counties, including Thaechon and Sakju counties and Kusong City, are now making good results by organizing manpower and supplying saplings well.
South Phyongan Province held a provincial demonstration related to autumn tree planting at the Chongok Farm in Phyongsong City and is planting trees in rural dwelling districts which have already been completed or are under construction.
After completing the arrangement of the area, the province makes sure that trees are planted in line with the soil conditions.
Hoeryong City, Onsong County and other parts of North Hamgyong Province are carrying out their daily tasks for tree planting on the principle of planting right tree on right soil and selecting right time and right species.
Cities and counties in South Hamgyong Province introduced advanced tree planting methods and selected species in a scientific way to raise the quality of tree planting.
Jagang and Kangwon provinces and Nampho Municipality, too, plant good species of trees and ensure the rooting rate while taking into consideration the geographical features, weather and soil conditions and symbiosis of trees. -0-
