INTERNATIONAL SOS EVACUATES JAKARTA BOMB ATTACK VICTIMS TO S’PORE

SINGAPORE, July 18 (Bernama) -- Two injured victims of the Jakarta hotels
bombing Friday were evacuated and flown into Singapore tonight for further
medical treatment here.

The two, an Indonesian national and an American, arrived at 7.10pm escorted
by a team of medical experts from International SOS, an international outfit
that provides emergency medical evacuation service.

Both victims, accompanied by their immediate family members, have been
admitted to a local hospital and are receiving the necessary medical attention,
according to International SOS.

International SOS is also working to evacuate to Singapore a third victim,
who is expected to arrive later Friday night.

Following the bombings at the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in
Jakarta’s Mega Kuningan business district, International SOS immediately set up
a regional crisis management team involving its alarm centres in Jakarta,
Philadelphia and Singapore.

Its Jakarta alarm centre deployed three medical teams to three local
hospitals, where the injured were taken, to identify and assist them.
