PAKISTAN TO USE MALAYSIA AS A BENCHMARK
KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) -- Pakistan will use Malaysia as a benchmark
in its effort to increase productivity in the industrial and manufacturing
sectors, said its National Productivity Organisation (NPO) chief executive,
Javad Malik.
In a statement issued through the Pakistani High Commission here Friday at
the end of his three-day visit, he said Malaysia had been successful in its
industrial efforts and had made tremendous progress in developing key
performance indicators in both the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
"Pakistan could learn from these experiences and would organise more such
visits and exchange of knowldege and ideas between both countries," he said.
Malik, who led a three-member high-level delegation from the NPO, held
numerous meetings with the senior management of the Malaysian Productivity
Council and heads of various government departments here.
The delegation also visited numerous industrial and manufacturing companies
in the country.
The visit was organised by the Malaysian Productivity Council and the Asian
Productivity Organis ation of Japan of which both Malaysia and Pakistan are
members.
