Bahrain’s Ambassador to Brussels participates in first meeting of Palestine Donor Group

Brussels, Nov. 22 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium, participated in the first meeting of the “Palestine Donor Group” and the associated Senior Officials Meeting, hosted by the European Union in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority at the Council of the European Union in Brussels.

The meetings were cochaired by Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner for Democracy and Demography, and Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, with the participation of Arab and European foreign ministers, donor countries, and representatives of United Nations agencies and international organisations.

Discussions covered several topics, including the situation in the Gaza Strip, the financial sustainability of the Palestinian Authority, progress in the reform agenda, and economic recovery in the West Bank.
