King Salman Chair for Historic Makkah Studies Enriches Pilgrims' Experience with Educational and Cultural Initiatives During Hajj Season

   Makkah, May 28, 2026, SPA -- The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Chair for Historic Makkah Studies at Umm Al-Qura University continues its scientific and cultural efforts during the 1447 AH Hajj season by offering educational and enrichment initiatives that contribute to raising pilgrims’ awareness and enhancing their cultural and intellectual experience while performing Hajj rituals.
   Through diverse scientific and educational programs, the chair works to promote awareness of the history of Makkah and the holy sites, introduce Hajj history and rituals, and highlight the civilizational and historical dimensions associated with the Two Holy Mosques and the holy sites, thereby enriching pilgrims’ experience and connecting them with the historical and cultural heritage of Makkah.
   It noted that the chair's efforts also included highlighting the unprecedented historical development witnessed in the Saudi expansion of the Grand Mosque across different eras, in addition to participating in media and communication campaigns aimed at introducing the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques and pilgrims.
