Baseer Platform Reads Crowd Movement in Real Time, Supports Crowd Management at the Two Holy Mosques

   Mina, May 29, 2026, SPA -- The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, is enhancing the readiness of the technological Hajj system for the 1447 AH season through the smart Baseer platform. The platform supports crowd and security management at the Two Holy Mosques and access points leading to them.
   The platform employs artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and big data analytics derived from surveillance camera data to provide real-time readings of crowd movement and to monitor indicators of human density. The capabilities support field decision-making and enhance the efficiency of pilgrim movement management.
   The platform integrates with the smart camera system and the Sawaher platform to provide advanced infrastructure for monitoring rooms.The integration enables crowd counting, identification of congestion routes, and delivery of real-time analytics that support crowd-management plans. The platform aims to accelerate response times and achieve the highest levels of safety and security for pilgrims.
