Diplomatic Corps Praises King Of Malaysia’s Wise Leadership On His Majesty's Official Birthday
KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 (Bernama) -- The diplomatic corps in Malaysia today extended its warmest congratulations and sincerest wishes to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s official birthday celebration Monday.
Yemen’s Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Adel Mohamed Ali Ba Hamid, who represents the foreign diplomatic missions in the country, expressed the international community's deepest respect and admiration for His Majesty’s wise leadership and unwavering dedication to the nation’s unity, stability and prosperity.
Speaking at the investiture ceremony held in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration at Istana Negara on Monday, Adel Mohamed said that under Sultan Ibrahim’s reign, Malaysia continues to be admired internationally as a nation that upholds harmony, moderation, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, graced the occasion.
Adel Mohamed said that Malaysia’s active role in promoting regional cooperation, humanitarian values, and constructive international engagement has further strengthened its standing within ASEAN and the global community.
“The active role undertaken by Your Majesty in enhancing Malaysia’s diplomatic standing abroad continues to elevate the nation’s reputation and serves as a pillar in strengthening Malaysia’s close and enduring ties with international partners,” he said in his congratulatory speech.
The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and members of the Cabinet, including Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
The ambassador also took the opportunity to commend Malaysia’s remarkable success during its 2025 ASEAN Chairmanship, noting the country’s enduring commitment to regional unity and stability.
He further expressed the gratitude of the foreign missions for the warm hospitality and cooperation extended by the Malaysian government and its people.
“The support we received has enabled us to carry out our missions in an atmosphere of goodwill and mutual understanding,” he added.
On behalf of the diplomatic community, Adel Mohamed also congratulated all recipients of the Federal awards, honours and medals conferred this year, describing the recognitions as a testament to their significant and longstanding contributions to the Federation.
He concluded his speech with a prayer for the continued good health, happiness and wisdom of both His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, as they continue to guide the nation with wisdom and compassion.
