Foreign Minister meets with Costa Rican counterpart

New York, Jun. 1 (BNA):  Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Manuel Tovar Rivera, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Republic of Costa Rica, on the sidelines of their participation in the meetings of the UN Security Council.

 

The meeting discussed the bilateral ties between the two countries and means to develop bilateral cooperation in various domains to serve their common interests.

 

They also exchanged views on regional developments, the repercussions of the Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain, the GCC countries, and other regional states, the consequences of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international navigation and the global economy, developments in the US-Iranian negotiations, and efforts to maintain regional security and stability.

 

The meeting was attended by, Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Ruwaie, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York; Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaleq Saeed Chief of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and the delegation accompanying the Minister.
