Foreign Minister meets Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister

New York, Jun. 1 (BNA):  Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the sidelines of their participation in the UN Security Council meetings.

They discussed regional developments, including the repercussions of Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain, GCC countries and other regional states, the consequences of Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international navigation and the global economy, the latest developments in the US-Iran negotiations mediated by Pakistan, and regional and international efforts to reduce tensions and prevent escalation while maintaining regional security and stability.

They also exchanged views on issues under consideration by the UN Security Council.

The meeting was attended by Jamal Fares Al Ruwaie, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York; Saeed Abdulkhaleq Saeed, Chief of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and the accompanying delegation.
