HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad: Gulf Youth Day highlights Bahraini youth achievements across various domains

Manama, Jun. 5 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), said that Gulf Youth Day is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of young people across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, reflecting their ambition and capabilities.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said Bahraini youth are a leading example across various domains, particularly in sport, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continued follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also commended the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, and his continued efforts to empower young people and provide the right environment for success.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said Bahrain’s youth demonstrated their potential at the 4th GCC Games, recently held in Doha, where they won 63 medals, including 25 golds. His Highness said the achievement reflects the progress of Bahraini sport and the success of efforts to invest in young talent and develop athletes capable of competing at the highest levels.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad added that Gulf Youth Day is an opportunity to reiterate the importance of supporting and empowering young people, as they are key to shaping the future. His Highness commended the determination and strong sense of national pride shown by Bahraini youth, which has helped achieve successes that have raised Bahrain’s standing at Gulf, regional and international events.
