Finance Minister meets Russian counterpart at Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026

Saint Petersburg, Jun. 6 (BNA): Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, met Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the 2026 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the close relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation and their continued development across various domains, particularly in the financial and economic sectors.

The minister relayed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to His Excellency President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation.

The meeting also reviewed the latest global economic developments and discussed a number of topics of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation; Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company; and a number of officials.
