Finance Minister meets Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO

Saint Petersburg, Jun. 6 (BNA): Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, met Kirill Dmitriev, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), on the sidelines of the 2026 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation with the Russian Federation across various domains, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.

The meeting reviewed areas of cooperation between the two sides and discussed a number of topics of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation; Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company; and a number of officials.
