National Security Advisor Discusses With The Russian Ambassador The Development Of Friendly Relations And Cooperation Between The Two Countries

Baghdad /NINA/- The National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met on Sunday with the Russian Ambassador to Baghdad, Elbrus Kutrashev, to discuss ways to strengthen friendship and cooperation between Iraq and Russia.

The National Security Chancellery stated in a press release that al-Araji received Ambassador Kutrashev at his office, where the two officials discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of information and expertise exchange, counterterrorism, and support for regional security and stability.

The statement added that the meeting also reviewed several issues related to intensifying security and intelligence cooperation to address emerging challenges, as well as supporting international efforts aimed at promoting security and sustainable development in the region through reinforced diplomatic engagement and constructive dialogue./ End
