S. Korean air force to take part in competition in U.S.

SEOUL, July 17 (Yonhap) -- The South Korean Air Force said Friday it will send a
C-130 transport aircraft to participate in a biennial multinational competition
starting next week in the United States.

The 33-crew transport, led by a colonel, is one of seven teams that will take
part in the July 19-24 "Rodeo" contest organized by the U.S. Air Mobility
Command, it said in a release.
The competition, scheduled to be held over McChord airbase in Washington State,
will test participants in 30 areas, including emergency medical transportation,
maintenance and maneuvers, it said.
