Malaysia Bags Six Golds, Six Silvers At FIABCI Prix D’excellence Awards 2026
KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysia won six gold and six silver awards at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2026 in Vienna, Austria, emerging as the biggest winner and further cementing its position as a global leader in property development.
The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) said the achievement brought Malaysia's total haul at the prestigious international property awards to 46 gold medals, reflecting the continued competitiveness of the country's real estate sector on the global stage.
Its minister, Nga Kor Ming described the accomplishment as a strong testament to Malaysia's world-class property development capabilities.
"Malaysia emerging as the biggest winner at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2026 is the best testimony of our world-class housing and property development capabilities.
"This is not just a win for our developers but also a source of pride for the nation. It proves beyond doubt that our local developers are capable of delivering sustainable, high-quality projects, and building thriving communities that meet international benchmarks," he said in a statement Friday.
Nga said KPKT had introduced several reforms to facilitate and strengthen real estate development, including the Housing Integrated Management System (HIMS), TEDUH, electronic Sales and Purchase Agreement (eSPA), and mandatory audits of the Housing Development Account (HDA).
He said the achievement should inspire industry players to continue innovating, raising standards and delivering quality, affordable housing.
"We hope that the rest of the industry will see this remarkable achievement as an inspiration to keep innovating and continually elevating the benchmark for our property industry.
"By combining government support with the private sector's world-class expertise, we remain dedicated to building more livable and lovable communities for the rakyat," he added.
The FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards, often referred to as the "Oscars of Real Estate", recognise outstanding property developments from around the world across multiple categories.
