Previously a cotton mill, now a museum called ‘Tar-o-Pood’ in the historic Iranian city of Yazd, displays a collection of fabrics, traditional textiles, spinning and weaving tools.

The idea to transform the factory into the museum was to preserve and showcase the historical textiles of Iran’s desert regions, particularly those of Yazd. Located on Ayatollah Kashani Street, Tar-o-Pood Museum provides a different experience for visitors and plays an important role in introducing cultural tourism in Yazd.
