The Ministry of Communications said the bilateral meeting was held on the sidelines of the 23rd ASEAN Senior Officials Responsible for Information (SOMRI) Meeting in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, on Wednesday.

“Deputy Secretary-General (Strategic Communications and Creative Industry) Bahria Mohd Tamil led the Malaysian delegation to the bilateral meeting between Malaysia and Cambodia, while the Cambodian delegation was headed by Secretary of State of the Ministry of Information Prak Thaveak Amida,” the ministry said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

According to the ministry, the meeting also saw both countries exchange views on various aspects of cooperation in information exchange, media development, digital transformation, as well as efforts to strengthen information integrity and address challenges in the evolving media landscape.
