Iran, Uzbekistan discuss bilateral ties, regional developments

Tehran, IRNA – Senior Iranian and Uzbek officials in a meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday have discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Legal and International Affairs met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan for International Organizations on the sidelines of the 11th meeting of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
During the meeting, Kazem Gharibabadi and Muzaffar Madrahimov focused on strengthening cooperation in different fields.
Considering Uzbekistan’s upcoming chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement for the period 2027 to 2029, Gharibabadi emphasized the importance of strengthening this organization and announced Iran’s full readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan during its chairmanship of this movement.
