President Kim Il Sung Remembered by Overseas Koreans' Organizations
Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- Memorial services were held by overseas Koreans' organizations on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.
Officials of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) held a meeting at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on July 8 to lay a flower basket before the portrait of Kim Il Sung.
Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman, vice-chairpersons, directors and other officials of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon.
All the participants made deep bows to Kim Il Sung, praying for his immortality.
Leading officials of central organizations including the Korean Youth League in Japan, the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan and the Korean Educationists Association in Japan laid bouquets before his portrait and paid tribute to him.
Memorial services were held by the General Association of Koreans in China on July 7 and 8.
Flower baskets in the name of the General Association of Koreans in China, the Association of Korean Women in China, the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China, the Zhongnan Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China, the Jilin City Branch of its Jilin Regional Association and its Liaoning Regional Association, the family of Hwang Paek Ha, a Korean in China related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, and others were laid before the statue of the President at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin, China, portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the art works depicting them at the DPRK embassy in Beijing and missions in China.
A study of a documentary dealing with the immortal history of revolutionary leadership of the President was conducted in Shenyang, China.
Present there were officials of the headquarters of the General Association of Koreans in China and members of the Shenyang City Branch of its Liaoning Regional Association.
The Yanbian Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China also conducted the study of a similar documentary. -0-
