Bahrain Space Agency receives IAF Diversity Supporter certificate 2025

Manama, Jul. 11 (BNA): The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) received the IAF 2025 Diversity Supporter certificate from the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), in recognition of its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion, fostering equal opportunities, and adopting international best practices in the space sector.
The recognition reflects the agency's efforts to build an inclusive work environment that supports innovation and creativity, promotes the participation of national talent, and contributes to the development of Bahrain's space sector and the Kingdom's position in the global space community.
Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of BSA, said the certificate represents international recognition of the agency's commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports innovation and creativity. He added that the recognition will further encourage the agency to invest in national talent and empower young people and women in space, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), in support of the agency's objectives and Bahrain's sustainable development goals.
Dr. Al Aseeri added that the achievement will support the continued development of the agency's policies and initiatives to strengthen diversity and inclusion and expand cooperation with local and international partners in support of Bahrain's vision of building a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
The agency continues to implement programmes to develop national capabilities and human capital, while promoting diversity, inclusion and innovation across the space sector as part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in international forums.
