During his meeting with Al-Hassan, the President Praises the Efforts of the UN mission in Supporting the Political and Democratic Process in Iraq

Baghdad / NINA /- President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received, on Wednesday in the city of Sulaymaniyah, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, Mohammed Al-Hassan, on the occasion of the conclusion of his mission.

During the meeting, the President praised the efforts exerted by Al-Hassan and the United Nations Mission in Iraq in supporting the political and democratic process, as well as their contribution to strengthening the foundations of security and stability. He affirmed that the conclusion of the UN mission marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation and joint coordination between Iraq and the United Nations.

President Rashid also wished Al-Hassan success in his future assignments.

For his part, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the President for his continued support of the UN mission’s work, commending his role in enhancing cooperation between Iraq and the United Nations across various fields./ End
