Participants in Eighth Congress of SWUK and Other Women's Union Members Meet to Make Pledge
Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- The participants in the Eighth Congress of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea and other women's union members gathered at Kim Il Sung Stadium on July 15 to make a pledge.
Present there were Jo Yong Won, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Jong Kyong Thaek and Ju Chang Il, members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the C.C., WPK.
Led by Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the C.C., SWUK, all the participants vowed to become women revolutionaries absolutely trusting and following the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un only.
They swore an oath to creditably inherit the precious tradition of the Korean women's movement that remained true to the leadership of the Party with a single mind, and thus to turn the whole women's union into a group of the harmonious whole sharing the ideology, intention and destiny with the Party Central Committee, the militant ranks strong in the organizing ability and unity and the revolutionary spirit.
They also pledged to conduct the socialist patriotic movement, the revolutionary mass movement, as the honorable participants in the struggle for the comprehensive development of socialism and national prosperity and to become women patriots contributing to defending the country and bolstering up the national defence capabilities.
All the participants expressed the will to become the personifiers of noble traits and virtues who ensure that their family members live in harmony and beautify the large family based on single-minded unity and the communist mothers who bring their children up as true sons and daughters remaining faithful to the Party and the country and pillars of powerful and prosperous Korea with deep love and affection and through upright and principled education and maternal affection.
