Art Performance Marks Eighth Congress of SWUK
Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- The artistic information team of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea and art group members of the women's union gave an art performance "Songs Korean women sing, looking up to the great motherly Party" at the April 25 House of Culture to mark the Eighth Congress of the SWUK.
The national anthem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was played solemnly. Put on the stage were colorful numbers reflecting the noble moral world of the Korean women who have dedicated themselves to the happiness of a large socialist family through the patriotic efforts for national prosperity.
The performers sang loudly of the great love and trust of the tender-hearted father who has put forward the Korean women as a powerful force for the development of the state and society and as proud masters of the times.
The songs were acclaimed by the audience as they reflected the pride of the mothers and all other women in the country who are leading a worthwhile life as builders of the future and creators of beautiful life under the care of the great Workers' Party of Korea.
Enjoying the performance, the audience hardened their will to inherit the excellent traits of the large socialist family and make a tangible contribution to the national prosperity and development with crystal-clear conscience and devoted efforts.
Among the audience were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials of the C.C., SWUK and the participants in the congress. -0-
