Foreign Minister holds telephone call with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

Manama, Jul. 22 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.

The two ministers discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the continued Iranian attacks against the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the systematic attacks targeting critical infrastructure, vital facilities, and civilians. They also reviewed the implications of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on the safety and freedom of maritime navigation and the global economy, regional efforts to preserve security and stability, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
