Foreign Minister receives telephone call from UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Affairs

Manama, Jul. 22 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call from His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

The two sides discussed on the latest regional developments, including the continued Iranian attacks against the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, targeting critical infrastructure, vital facilities, and civilians. Thet also highlighted the consequences of Iran's continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz on global energy and food supplies, the world economy, and ongoing efforts to preserve regional security and stability.

They also reviewed prospects for enhanced bilateral coordination and consultation within the United Nations Security Council, in light of Bahrain's membership on the Council, regarding key international issues under discussion, and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.
