Ambassador Al Saati briefed the Russian official on the recent Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and vital facilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which caused significant damage to property. He also highlighted Iran's targeting of civil aviation navigation systems and aircraft transiting the Bahrain Flight Information Region (FIR) with hostile drones, describing it as a serious threat to international civil aviation safety.
The Ambassador further stressed that Iran's continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz and obstruction of maritime navigation constitute a grave violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the law of the sea, with serious repercussions for global trade and the world economy.
