War Martyrs Cemetery Symbolic of Noble Obligation

 Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- The Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery at the foot of Mt Sokbak in Pyongyang is a grand monument of the times built thanks to the warm revolutionary comradeship and noble obligation of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to provide the defenders of the country in the 1950s with eternal life.
The remains of many heroic soldiers who dedicated their lives without hesitation to defending their country during the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) were buried at the cemetery.
The respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who initiated the construction of new martyrs cemetery on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the war, personally chose the site in a good place of the capital city and renamed the cemetery "Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery". Its original name was "Cemetery of Fallen Fighters of the Korean People's Army". He energetically guided the whole course of the construction, ranging from the layout of the graves to the design of gravestones and the style of letters to be inscribed on them.
He visited the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery nearing completion and said that the Workers' Party of Korea is the owner of the graves of the known and unknown fallen fighters of the People's Army who laid down their lives in the Fatherland Liberation War.
At the inauguration ceremony of the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on July 25, 2013, the respected Comrade General Secretary personally cut the inauguration tape and paid high tribute to the victors of the great years.
Visiting the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery, the Korean people deeply realize the noble obligation of the peerlessly great man, who makes sure that the revolutionary soldiers enjoy immortality under his warm loving care, and the spirit of defending the country displayed by the great wartime generation. -0-
