Koryo Insam Cultural Tourist Resort in Kaesong Municipality

 Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Koryo insam cultural tourist resort was built in a unique manner at Kaesong Municipality where there are many historic spots and scenic spots.
The municipality decided to build the Koryo insam cultural tourist resort on the basis of feedback from the old persons growing insam for a long time and a scientific survey, which confirmed that the best place for the effect of insam is within 10 km off Mt Songak.
Since the tourist resort was open near the Koryo Museum, many tourists have visited it.
Especially in autumn, when the leaves of insam are yellow and the roots are grown to the maximum, the resort is swarming with tourists every day. They carefully dig out the main roots, branch roots and hairy roots of insam and then keep it in the container-based moss, grass and dry humus or make tea and other drinks with it.
The Sam Street's insam rock is also one of the main tourist attractions. The municipality helps the tourists enjoy a bird's-eye view of landscape being preserved in original state on the convenient climbing route.
It also remodeled the Samdaem sand bath site which contributes to promoting the people's health by using the traditional therapy in Kaesong area.
President Kim Il Sung said that Kaesong Municipality would be a popular tourist resort for Pakyon Falls and insam fields.
Kaesong Municipality is to develop more tourist areas blending well with the beautiful natural scenery by preserving its regional features. -0-
