Patriotic Efforts of Meritorious Women in DPRK

 Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Among reliable women in the DPRK are a number of meritorious ones of socialist patriotism who are spending days and months of devotion at worksites out of a patriotic desire to contribute to the prosperity of the country.
Typical of them are a merited weaver of the weaving shop No. 1 of the general weaving shop of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, who has produced lots of fabrics through a dynamic multi-machine tending campaign for decades since her girlhood, and a chief oculist of the North Hwanghae Provincial General Hospital who has successfully treated the eyes of many patients with her warm sincerity and high medical skill. The people are calling them meritorious woman of socialist patriotism, regarding them as the model of our women's life.
A woman worker at the Ranam District Water Supply and Sewerage Management and Heating Station in Chongjin City was also honoured with the title of meritorious woman of socialist patriotism for having devoted herself to the supply of tap water for inhabitant.
A woman in Changdo County has taken care of more than 30 orphans and brought them up to be soldiers of the People's Army and workers in major sectors of socialist construction. And she sincerely helped the work of her husband, a postman, and raised her own child to follow in the footsteps of the father. As a result, she became the winner of the title of meritorious woman of socialist patriotism and the Communist Mother Honour Prize.
There are many meritorious women who are working hard to fill the granary of the country on fields all year round, just like the peasants of the previous generations, in our country.
The merited women, who have carried through the Workers' Party of Korea's intention with pure conscience and high educational achievements, have reached the peak in their honour. -0-
