Designing for Remodeling Coal-mine Villages Accelerated in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- The DPRK designing field is concentrating on designing modern coal-mine villages.
The State General Bureau of Design and relevant units of the DPRK are making designs of the villages that suit the characteristics of coal mining area and fully conform to the requirements for modernity, convenience and practicality.
The Paektusan Institute of Architecture has deepened a technical study of the global trend of development in the construction of coal-mine villages and formed the designing group with competent persons in order to draw up plans for layout of the villages and prepare drafts.
The Pyongyang City Planning and Designing Institute scientifically set the location according to the topography of the relevant areas and the number of households and confirmed the number of floors of the dwelling houses. Based on them, it worked out a plan for the layout of the buildings. The Pyongyang Geological Surveying and Designing Institute and the South Phyongan Provincial Designing Institute completed topographic survey and map.
Designers and researchers of the Pugang Designing Institute, Pyongyang University of Architecture and other units are directing efforts to ensure the designing of coal mines at the highest level. -0-
