National Photo Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, January 6 (KCNA) -- A national photo exhibition "Ushering in an era of gigantic transformation for comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism" opened here to show the immortal exploits performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un during the term of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Displayed at the venue of the exhibition are photos of Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a new era of national prosperity by wisely leading the all-people struggle for implementing the programme for the revolution set forth at the historic Eighth Party Congress, regarding independence in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliance in national defence as an invariable revolutionary line.
An opening ceremony took place at the Okryu Exhibition House on Jan. 5.
Present there were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, officials concerned, officials of ministries and national agencies, working people, youth and students in the city.
Ju Chang Il made an opening address.
The speaker stressed that the term of the Eighth Party Central Committee was the one of excitement when the people across the country, rallied close around the Party Central Committee, waged a vigorous struggle to carry out the revolutionary line and important tasks set forth at the Party Congress, demonstrating the absolute power of the country to the whole world and making a series of epochal successes proving the phase of development of national prosperity in all sectors of socialist construction.
He declared the opening of the national photo exhibition, expressing belief that the exhibition would serve as an important occasion for fully demonstrating the dignity and might of the great country and greatly encouraging all the people to the revolutionary advance for implementing the new goals and tasks to be set forth at the Ninth Party Congress.
At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the venue of the exhibition. -0-
