Cocoon Production Increases in DPRK

 Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Sericulture units across the DPRK have made achievements in raising silkworms in spring.
South Hwanghae Province has overfulfilled its plan for the production of cocoons by manuring and cultivating mulberries and conducting incubation in a scientific and technological way.
Nampho Municipality has secured a supra-species of silkworm and introduced a effective sericulture method to save mulberry leaves and produce quality cocoons.
Similar achievements are being made by sericulture units in South Hamgyong Province, Pyongyang Municipality and South Phyongan Province. -0-
